  • This Month's Spotlight Is On...

We have six gifts of precious oils, wrapped and ready to travel for you. They include many aromas for enriching your holidays with all its thoughts and memories.

The Good Medicine Tin® provides many options for the mood of the moment. Then there's the Rejuvenation Face Gel with its sacred ancient aroma. Of course you know I think we all need Knowsy and his Lavender.

    Candace's Corner of The World

As John and I celebrate our last Christmas Holidays in the shop and Naples, there are many thoughts and memories. Our first Christmas together was in Saudi Arabia as many of you know. There was no outward sign of Christmas there, so we were called to dig deep and find it in our hearts. Last Christmas we were back in Naples and were with my Mother, whom most of you also know was sitting between John and I on the airplane when we met. Mom, the oils, and God were busy matchmaking.

So this year we feel the loss of Mom with her passing last May. We feel the renewed life, as we are blessed to have each other as husband and wife. We feel the transition of shifting the business and our lives as we close the chapter here, and the adventure of pioneering to our mountain home in Colorado.

Yes, life is a challenging adventure, as we all ride the waves of change. So what oils do we choose to guide us through the mountains and valleys? Well, Lavender Rose Mist is the mist for our hearts. The Rejuvenation Face Gel and OLA #4 Blend (Rose otto and Lavender) soothe the soul (and the skin), and were Mom's favorite too. Then we love the Precious Christmas Oil bringing in the true aroma of the Pine trees with the spices of Clove and Cinnamon, and the sweetness of Orange. John and I have 3 Knowsys. Amen.

    What's On YOUR Mind?

As we transition from physical shop to web and/or phone mail order, it is important to us that we receive you feedback. I would love to hear what you like about the GMT Messenger newsletter, and what else you might like to see to serve you better. Thank you!

    Holiday Moods

Ready or not, we all have them, popping up like wild monkeys swinging aroung in the trees of our minds. Thoughts and memories, of people and events, are a major part of the holidays for all of us, young and old. These conjure up the emotions tugging on our heartstrings in many directions. So how do we handle the full spectrum of the emotional rainbow, as we glide through the season that is about the true spirit of life?

Aroma is a language of thought, memory and emotion that has been around since the beginning of time to assist human beings with three major roles. Their pure aroma and natural medicinal qualities help protect our emotional state and physical health. The spontaneous reaction of the nose-brain connection with the aroma traveling through the olfactory system, assists us through transitions of all kinds. The joy of using them in diffusion and skin application is why they have been used in times of celebrations for all seasons of life.

As I see it, this time of year calls for all three of the big guns: protection, transitions, and celebrations. The good news is, the oils are still here for us to be and do their mission. Whether we are dealing with the grief of the loss of a loved one, a memory of days gone by, or the thrill of the joy of renewed life and adventure (often all these at once); we have wonderful soulful elements to warm our hearts and nurture our spirits.

Choose your mist to surround yourself with a breath of fresh air. Misting is about cleansing, shifting, and renewing. It's so easy. Then choose a straight pure oil to keep with you during the day for deep breathing and whiffing any time your heart desires it. Third, have a blend for gentle massage. Apply the blend to your nose, temples, back of neck and heart first. What about a truly soulful bath?

Select your oils for the day and oils for the night, and tap into the joy, peace, and compassion that sits deep in our hearts. Put Knowsy The Moose or a cotton ball of Lavender in your pillow at night to lull you to sleep. Visions of sugar plums are possible.

Honor yourself, your loved ones, and the holidays for all it is meant to be. Feel the gratitude and appreciation for just being you, and others be them. The more soulful elements you have in your daily life, the more possible this is. Remember the things that tap you into the deep reservoir of peace that goes beyond all understanding. Some are: essential oils, quiet time, prayer, wonderful conversation, soulful walks, music, and food. Chocolate and oils are great together! They know all about the soul. Bless you for being all that you are!
