At this time of Thanksgiving, may we all focus
on creating as much peace in our lives as possible,
so we give peace to others. In the midst of the storms, become the
peaceful calm in the center.
In our efforts to do this very thing, John and I are realizing a
life long dream of living in the mountains. We're
moving to Colorado in the spring of 2006 and bringing our work with
us. We'll continue our shop in Naples through April
15th, and then close for several weeks for moving. It seems
appropriate to make our blends in the clear mountain air of Colorado
and send our precious oils out to our precious customers.
That's you! You can call us, fax, or order online.

This writing moment finds me in The Historic
Strater Hotel in Durango, Colorado. Our room #222 was
a favorite spot of author Louis L'Amour, where he wrote some
of his 100 novels on the pioneering western life. Upon
arriving in the room, one finds a note from his wife, Kathy,
and a copy of one of his novels as a gift. He was my Dad's
favorite author. Life is full of magical surprises.
It's up to us to see them.
It's Oct. 31st, and John and I are flying back to Naples to
recover from the winds and rains of Wilma. As Providence would
have it, Oct. 24th was the day for signing papers on our new
home in Colorado. Our flight out the day before was planned,
but we had to drive to Tampa to get it, and just in time. The
next morning at dawn, we were watching Wilma blow her way
through Naples on CNN. I stand in awe of the mystery. The shop
and our home suffered minimal damage. Thank you for your
patience as we get the web site and shop back up to sniff. We
are grateful to be here. Using the oils to improve the
air, mildew smell, and comfort the emotions is a
God-send. |

Why have Knowsy The Lavender Moose? We
know how valuable Lavender is, now we have an additional
"soulful element" to put Lavender on, which adds to the peace
and joy of it all.
(1) Make a routine of adding Lavender to
Knowsy's nose and tuck him in your pillow at night. How about
for children and other loved ones too? (2)
Take to a friend in the hospital. (3) Knowsy
knows about prayer and quiet time. Add a drop each time to
assist the mental transition. (4) Put him in
your suitcase when traveling. I did this on our trip to
Colorado. The bag smelled great, and Knowsy was a comfort in
the hotel rooms while Wilma was huffing and puffing in
Florida.
What ideas do you have? I'd love to hear
them for my Guide booklet on The Oil Lady™ and Knowsy The
Lavender Moose. Thank you! Candace Newman, The Oil
Lady™

| Knowsy The Lavender Moose |
 |
| As we move into the Season of
Thanksgiving, we proudly present to you
"Knowsy" our GMT Mascot Moose. He's a 6 inch,
very soft and cuddly, bean bag moose. The sense of well being
and joy that comes from just holding and touching him is
rewarding by itself. Then you add a couple drops of pure
Lavender to his big precious nose and he is the Good Medicine
of stuffed animals and Lavender. Create a peaceful routine at
bedtime, and tuck him in your pillow for a good night's sleep.
Lavender is the #1 oil to relieve stress,
ease grieving, assist with transitions, and take us into a
peaceful sleep. It has the ability to balance the central
nervous system. The molecules of Lavender travel up the nose
and connect to the olfactory neurons, which shoot directly
through the olfactory tract to the brain. The emotional state
changes, and the brain creates corresponding biochemistry that
feeds cells throughout the body. This happens instantaneously.
The winners of the 2004 Nobel Prize for Physiology and
Medicine went to two olfactory scientists proving
that aroma effects the physical condition of our bodies.
Two big benefits of Aromatherapy are the instant ability to
relief stress and to support a healthy immune system. Using
high grade essential oils is paramount. No matter the reason,
great or small; Let Knowsy The Lavender Moose be with
you, show you the way to follow your heart, listen to
your spirit, and connect with your soul. It's one of the tools
for creating peace and good health.
