What Can I Do?

Your simple yet
profound tools for blemishes, cold sores, shingles, and much more: Pure
Tea Tree Oil, Organic Golden Jojoba, and our OLA™ Blemish Gel.
1. As
soon as you sense the "tingle", dab the spot immediately with
straight Tea Tree. Use a q-tip or your finger. One drop will take care of
many spots. Continue 3 to 4 times a day. If the spots or blisters already
exist, do the same thing as soon as possible, 3 to 4 times a day, as
relief is needed.
2. Once
the spots are dried out, soothe the area by making a blend in your palm
with a puddle of Jojoba and one drop of Tea Tree. An alternative is our
OLA™ Blemish Gel.
3. To
make an extra strong Blemish Gel, put some of this gel in your palm, and
charge it with one drop of Tea Tree. Mix with your fingers and apply to
the skin. The gel is a "lighter" texture for the skin than the
Jojoba and Tea Tree blend.

Do you have any
suggestions for a body and face soap to help keep my skin clear and
healthy?
Tea
Tree is a powerful antiseptic and an excellent addition to body and/or
face soap. You can find Tea Tree liquid or bar soap at Health Stores. I
prefer the liquid soap, because you have the option of tailoring it to
your skin. Make it lighter by diluting it with water, or stronger with a
drop of Tea Tree.
If you
want to make your own, find a liquid soap as natural as possible. Add 1
drop of pure Tea Tree Oil per ounce. Go up to 2 drops per ounce if
appropriate.
We
carry a wonderful unscented liquid soap that I keep in the shower and on
the sink for my body and face. Customize it with water and/or essential
oils to suit your Wonderful Self. Essential oils teach us to honor the
individuality in each of us.

Where in the World?

Several years ago a wonderful little
book, "The Mutant Message Down Under" was written by a
courageous woman, Marlo Morgan. She had the
surprise soul-call adventure of traveling many months through the
deserted Outback with a very primitive tribe of Aborigines in Australia.
When Marlo lectured in Naples, I asked her
about the use of Tea Tree Oil among the Aborigines. She told me the story
of how they carried the leaves in their pouch, considering it sacred
medicine. When someone got injured, they made a bowl in the ground with
rocks, poured water in it, and set the leaves on top. As the sun warmed
the water, the heat burst the oil glands on the leaves. Then they soaked
up the drops of oil floating on top of the water, and applied this to the
injury.
It is
as simple as that. Mother Nature provides.

The acne on my
face has been a frustrating challenge for quite awhile. Then I started
your suggested routine. I mist my face after every wash, and also
throughout the day with your Lavender Mist. Morning and night I dab a
little straight Tea Tree on the acne spots or a place where I can feel
one trying to come up. Then I use the Blemish Gel on my whole face
morning and night. My pores are smaller and the over-all integrity of my
skin is amazing. What a blessing. Thank you! ........ Florida Storyteller

Blemishes, Cold Sores, and Shingles

As life turns,
blemishes of all kinds come and go. Using Tea Tree as preventive care as
well as immediate relief is a good choice for good health with good
medicine.
When using Tea Tree for medicinal
reasons, be sure you are using the therapeutic grade essential oil only.
The botanical name is Melaleuca alternifolia. The essential oil is
steam-distilled from the leaves of the trees in Australia. The natural
chemical constituents of the essential oil account for its powerful anti-
inflammatory and antiseptic properties.
Tea Tree is very effective with many
people for drying up the infection of blemishes, cold sores, shingles,
and many other skin conditions. Its anti-viral properties come to the
rescue for cold sores, shingles, and chickenpox. Since Tea Tree is highly
concentrated, we suggest that you only use it straight on the skin for
the infected spots. See "What Can I Do?" for this process.
Tea Tree is also helpful in a compress
for larger areas. Add 4 drops of Tea Tree to 1/2 cup of water. Soak this
up with a clean cotton cloth and apply to the area. Too much straight Tea
Tree can cause the skin to get very dry and red. Remember: Less can be
more. Listen to what your body is telling you. Honor, Tea Tree as the
"good medicine" that it is, and it will take good care of you.
