Frozen Winter Oils

February is my birthday month and it's always Winter in February, big time! Apparently this is one the most unusal and dramatic winters on record. Shipping our oils often means they sit in a cold warehouse in route or by your front door. Yes, they may freeze.
Frozen oils are still good oils. The best care is to roll the bottles in your hands and let your body heat gently help them thaw. Another idea is to put them in a pocket so they are near your body heat. I have done this many times over the years. If there's no time for this or you have many bottles, sit them on the counter at room temperature and let them thaw gradually. Please don't put them in the microwave or a warm oven. I have many little bottles of essential oils (since I'm wildy in love with my oils) that I've collected over 20 years to cherish and enjoy. I believe this means I'm a collector! I keep them in a dark closet on a shelf or in a tin. I had some out last week for "whiffing"  ... many get better with age.

A bottle of pure Lemon essential oil was found on a sunken treasure ship at the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea. It was 250 years old, was tested and still good! Why? They were tightly sealed, preserved in a dark, consistently cool environment.

The best care for oils is to not change their temperature drastically and continually. Keep them at room temperature in dark glass bottles with lids on, and away from warm direct sunlight. For longtime care, consider a dark closet or shelf. They are sensitive to heat, light and oxygen. They have a vibrational hertz frequency that is well above that of a heatlhy human body.

Candace's Corner of the World ...

Winter is a good time to have plenty of essential oils around to keep our respiratory system happy and healthy, and to calm the wild monkeys in our mind and emotions. Then there's the pure joy of having soulful aromas we love around us. Our Rejuvenation Face Gel is just that. It nurtures and protects our skin, and the aromas soothe the soul. Having it on our face, allows us to enjoy the aromas all day. Anoint your face with oils ... what a sacred gift.

Part of my birthday celebration this month of February, is to offer 3 classes in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. (1) Feb 15 is a free 1 hour Introduction to Aromatherapy at the Community Center. Then at Pagosa Mountain Hospital:    (2) Feb 18: Winter Oils for Colds & Flu - 2 hrs; and      (3) Feb 25: Aromatherapy for Women - 2 hrs. $35.00 each. See details on the home page www.Oil_Lady.com

John and I have a special section of items that are 50% off right now. Our surplus supply of 6 oz cobalt blue glass bottles with a lock-pump-tops are 3 for $5.00. Take a peak and see if there are some treasures here for you.
Our Scar & Bruise Oil is changing from a 2 oz to 1 oz size. There are still some 2 oz left for the 1 oz price. An excellent opportunity since Helichrysum and Rose otto prices are so dear. The skin loves it, while the aromas help our mind.

Please email us with questions, suggestions, and stories!

We are grateful for you and appreciate the opportunity to be a part of your life with education and essential oils. Nature gives us her sacred liquids to help us through transitions of all kinds, protect our mental & physical health, and celebrate the joys of life with us.

Be gentle with yourself ... Life is precious ... and so are you!
